Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Sensor Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing our core sensor systems and algorithms and delivering them in customer products

Key Responsibilities:

• Enhance the performance and capabilities of CTT’s sensor technology in real-world applications
• Specify and evaluate improvements to sensor hardware and algorithms
• Develop simulation tools and test-data analysis capabilities to identify sensor issues and opportunities for performance improvement
• Interface strongly with other electronic, mechanical, algorithm and firmware engineers

Key Skills:

• Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, or related field (or equivalent qualification) to at least 2.1 level
• At least five years’ hands-on experience with sensor technologies and system integration
• Proficiency in MATLAB, Python or C for data analysis, simulation and algorithm development
• Experience in signal processing, embedded systems, and sensor characterisation
• Understanding of data acquisition hardware
• Experience introducing novel sensor products to the market
• Excellent trouble-shooting and problem solving skills
• Excellent communication skills: you communicate clearly in written and spoken English, and work well as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with advanced algorithm approaches, data science and machine learning in sensor applications
• Experience of touch sensors and human-machine-interfaces
• Experience using and developing custom sensor ASICs
