  • At least five years of relevant experience in the simulation and modelling of complex electromechanical devices, or a related field
  • Expertise in finite element simulation in mechanical and electrostatic domains
  • An understanding of sensor physics and sensor systems design
  • Experience of processing and analysing datasets and deriving simplified models of complex data
  • Experience of preparing reports and presentations for external parties
  • Excellent spoken and written English, with clear communication skills and an understanding of good documentation practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

And some beneficial skills (not essential) may involve:

  • Experience of sensor design and engineering
  • Experience of simulation using COMSOL Multiphysics
  • Experience of data processing using MATLAB
  • Knowledge of piezoelectric sensors and materials

Envisioned duties will include:

  • Creating, implementing and optimising sensor designs using multiphysics simulation
  • Generating simplified models to explain sensor behaviour
  • Leading feasibility studies and report to customers
  • Exploring, proposing and evaluating the impact of new ideas and giving direction to CTT’s technology development programmes

The candidate must be prepared to get hands-on and work in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment with a passionate team of engineers.
